Joint Oireachtas Committee on Health
Review of the Operation of the Health (Regulation of Termination of Pregnancy) Act 2018: Discussion
Colm Burke (Cork North Central, Fine Gael) | Oireachtas source
I wish to ask about people who feel that they have to travel abroad because the system in Ireland does not adequately care for them and about the lack of support for them when they return, in that there is no structure in place. Has the IFPA come across evidence of this? What needs to be changed? The whole idea was that people would have the necessary level of care in Ireland as opposed to needing to travel abroad, but people are travelling abroad and there is no follow-up care or structure available here.
