Apologies for rushing Dr. Mbugua. We all have the opening statements and want to ensure the maximum time for questions and answers and the discussion. We are very grateful to Dr. Mbugua for providing us with such insight into the intersectional nature of the discrimination affecting women experiencing domestic, sexual and gender-based violence. It is particularly helpful to hear how immigration laws interact with our laws and frameworks on such violence and the criminal law.
