Professor Philip Lane, the chief economist for the ECB, made the point that because it is a supply-side shock, increasing interest rates at this point in time would cause two problems. Does Dr. Cassidy believe that analysis still stands today, or is that now changing because of the war in Ukraine and the impacts that will bring about?
