To be fair, the HFA has been saying that for a number of years. There was a reference to student housing in Mr. O'Leary's opening statement. He spoke about improving the affordability for students and student-specific accommodation. Many student representatives would dispute that and would say that the finance that came from the HFA has not led to more affordable student accommodation but instead has led to what they describe as high-end and luxury student accommodation. Is affordability a part of the criteria around financing for student accommodation? Will it be in the future? Is it simply the case that when finance is sought, it is approved regardless of the affordability of rent levels?
