On the joined-up approach within the new strategy, the CCMA and councils are represented in the road safety partnership, as are the Road Safety Authority, the Garda, Transport Infrastructure Ireland and the Health and Safety Authority. All the relevant delivery agencies sit within that partnership. There is a forum to ensure that no one is working in a silo and that everyone has access to the views and expertise of fellow delivery agencies to ensure all considered views or expert opinions are recognised and taken on board to influence the timely implementation of the actions. We have 50 actions to implement in total over the next four years. The Deputy focused on one of them. If they are to be delivered upon, it will require not only scrutiny and monitoring but also investment and pace.
