Following from Deputy O'Donoghue's question, when county development plans or local area plans are being prepared, they will always show a map identifying the structures in the area that are listed in the register of protected structures. Is it compulsory to include mapping of archaeological sites in county development or local area plans? Will these two designations of general protection and special protection have different indications in those plans? Would Mr. Kirwan see that bringing all these data together and managing the system might allow for better notification in advance that while land may be zoned for residential, it is a site of archaeological interest or special interest? Is that mandatory in a county development plan?
