I welcome the witnesses and thank them for presenting here today at our committee. I wish to put questions to Ms Rogers of the Neurological Alliance of Ireland first. Ms Rogers stated that the neurorehabilitation strategy has not been implemented and, in fact, only two of the teams have been partially established in the past three years. She also mentioned that 288 specialist beds are required. How many beds are available at the moment? According to Ms Rogers's written statement, 50 beds have been added; however, in her opening remarks, she said 30 additional beds. Is it 30 or 50 additional beds and how many beds are available in total? Why has this strategy not been implemented? Can Ms Rogers say whether it is a lack of funding or a lack of suitably qualified personnel to staff the teams?
