We have a very close relationship with the volunteers on the coast. Each function has to be exercised. For search function, it is once per month. For cliff, boat and drone function, it is more irregular. We have coastal unit sector managers on the coast who visit the teams regularly to assess how they are getting on in training and to assess the need and how they are getting on internally within the unit - talking to the officer in command, OIC, about the education and training.
