In fairness, we are dealing with a fishing industry that is under severe pressure. Those situations have become worse post Brexit. We have all spoken many times about the difficulties involved. As I stated previously, we will have a problem with this legislation until a point in time when an element of fairness is introduced with respect to the penalty points system. We cannot support it in any way, shape or form. That is the fact of the matter. There is not much point in my reiterating that. I will speak to those amendments that are specific to some of the outstanding issues. That is Sinn Féin's policy in this regard. That is our position on this matter.
