I thank the Minister of State and the officials who are here to discuss this very important topic. It would be remiss of me and any other public representative not to say, first and foremost, that we are grateful for the extremely hard work that was done by some of the officials in response to the attack on the State that happened in regard to the HSE software and IT systems recently. I am by no means an expert in IT and I will disclose that to the committee. However, I have grown up with technology and perhaps have more familiarity with it than some other Members of the Houses of the Oireachtas. I have done a bit of research and homework on this, and I am worried.

I do not want to go into an in-depth speech and would rather ask a couple of questions of the Minister of State. With the goodwill of the Chair, I would appreciate some rapid responses. What is the gross annual budget of the NCSC?
