I will interrupt the Minister of State. If Cabinet members' phones are encrypted, yet one has been hacked, does that raise a massive national security question?

We have been talking about the HSE incident and the impact that has had for the past half hour. If people can hack a Cabinet Minister’s phone, off the top of our heads we can think of the number of telephone numbers they would have, not just nationally but internationally, and the text messages that would be exchanged between Cabinet members and between Ministers across the EU. I find it beyond belief that we have had a Minister’s phone hacked and that absolutely nobody seems to mind about it. It is a case of "Sure it is grand; it is all fine." We treat security as a joke.
