Mr. Sebastian Barnes:

-----and from the banking crisis and its consequences. Thus there is an underlying need to get debt down. That weighs against the argument for deficit financing. There is nothing particularly magical about a balanced budget but what is important is to put it on a sustainable path where, over a reasonable time, it will come down to a safer level. That was part of the plan in the SPU and it no longer is. That is our concern. My colleagues may want to come in there.
