In ordinary circumstances, without reference to that particular case, there is no need for anyone with a felling licence to apply for replanting permission. It comes with the felling licence. There is ordinarily a gap between harvesting and replanting for silviculture reasons and companies and landowners may leave it for up to two years. That is not a legal requirement or a licensing requirement, however. That is the general rule. The Senator might send me the correspondence for the particular circumstances he outlined.
