Joint Oireachtas Committee on Health
National Children's Hospital: Discussion
Ms Eilísh Hardiman:
Internationally, early intervention and community-based services to stop and catch this illness early is the best approach. That is what it is intended to roll out. They are the current number of beds envisaged. We envisage that we would not have to use external services. We should be self-sufficient in treating the children and adolescents of Ireland who need mental health services.
