I will move on to the implementation of the electronic records. I understand that electronic records have been introduced for maternity care. If electronic records are to be introduced for paediatric care we need to be careful to ensure that we do not end up with a system where one is not able to connect with the other. Is there co-ordination on that issue?

With regard to the other paediatric facilities in the State, such as in Cork, Limerick and Galway, what is the plan for electronic records in those units? Let us consider a person being treated in Cork for a period and then being transferred urgently to Dublin. What is the process there if there are no electronic records in those regions?
