No. 589B follows on from our recent engagement with RTÉ. It is from Ms Dee Forbes, director general of RTÉ, dated 14 May, and provides information requested by the committee arising from the meeting of 27 April. On foot of the committee's meeting of 11 May, an additional six questions were issued to RTÉ on 17 May, and we await responses to those questions. It is proposed to note and publish the correspondence. It relates to the classification of staff employed at RTÉ and the fact that so many people were employed on a self-employed, contract basis as opposed to being employed as employees. The reply was flagged by Deputies Munster, Catherine Murphy and Carthy.
