I thank the witnesses for their comprehensive and helpful statements. The Department is telling us that an individual complaints mechanism would be quickly ground down, that there would be backlogs and, essentially, that it would not be effective. We know that Australia has a system in place whereby an individual complaints mechanism is available. I know from personal experience that when hundreds of tweets are aimed at you on Twitter, and one in particular on Instagram is the one you want to remove and chase, the tweets on Twitter essentially do not matter in that context as far as Instagram is concerned. I believe in an individual complaints mechanism. How important do our guests consider such a mechanism is in the context of the Bill?
