I thank Mr. Ryan. It is important to say that, in light of the efforts that have been mentioned, there should be no need to go beyond the EU to seek skills.

If those efforts are being undertaken as Mr. Healy says they are, there should be no reason the industry cannot recruit in this country, given the scale of unemployment we have had and will have into the future.

A number of weeks ago, an IBEC representative claimed the reason for the low wages and high level of permits in the meat industry was that it was a low-margin sector. What are the margins in the sector?
