The question is timely because a couple of weeks ago we published a paper from the TILDA data set showing that people over 50 years of age in Ireland are 75% more likely to experience depression if their vitamin D levels are low. Those are just our Irish data - there are other studies - but that is very pertinent. I will leave it at that because others would like to speak.
