I will make a final point and perhaps Ms Coen can contribute then. I wish everyone on the commission well in what it is doing. These are long-standing issues and, as Mr. Byrne stated, there are social workers and others working on the ground who have direct experience of many of them. The majority of care settings, include nursing homes and other residential care services, provide wonderful services, but there are instances of abuse and neglect. We need to get the difficult cases right. Our committee needs to follow through on the issue of adult safeguarding until we get the statutory systems and framework in place. This issue has been ongoing for too long. The commission has its job to do, but so do the Government, the Department of Health and the HSE in terms of legislation, including the adult safeguarding legislation that was promised in the programme for Government and the review of existing policy. I look forward to the commission's report, which I believe the witnesses said would be published at some stage next year.
