It might not be possible to get an answer today to the final question I wish to raise. The purpose of Deputy Doherty's Bill is to amend section 9 of the 1995 Act by inserting a new subsection (4). Section 9 of the Act provides for a method of calculation of the annual percentage rate, APR, which is set out in the fourth Schedule to the Act. It is a very complicated mathematical method of calculation. When we get to Committee Stage, I wonder whether the Schedule may also need to be amended or if it is satisfactory just to include the new subsection (4). We may not be able to come to a conclusion on that question today but it is something we might have to look at when we get to the next legislative Stage.

I thank the Vice Chairman for accommodating my questions and the witnesses for answering them.
