It is proposed to forward the item to the correspondent who raised the matter with the previous committee in the Thirty-second Dáil, and advise that as Limerick City and County Council is audited by the Local Government Audit Service, it is outside our remit. We can then request the correspondent’s consent to forward his correspondence and the response from the Department to the Committee on Housing, Local Government and Heritage for any action it deems appropriate.
