I thank Mr. Reid, but there is confusion straight away. A man contacted my office to say he went to all the different areas of the Department and they told him they were not recruiting. I went back and checked with him again. This is where we are falling down. I know the witnesses are doing a great job, but somebody contacted my office - I will give the person's details - and told me he did apply. I was told the HSE is not recruiting. On several occasions I have received different answers. It is a case of "we are doing this" or "we are doing that", but when I go to my constituency I am told it is not happening. We need to get things clarified here when I am saying one thing and Mr. Reid is telling me something else.
