To your wider question, the pressure that will come on the acute system associated with the ongoing known growth in demand for service for emergency care and Covid-19 and, potentially, flu - normally we see a precursor to that being respiratory infection in paediatrics - is a matter of very significant concern. It is a fair reflection to say that the burden the system is facing as we move into this winter is very concerning.
