I am interested in IFAC's view on the programme for Government that was published yesterday where it gives a clear commitment that where there is wage growth, there will be indexation of taxes and bands. This is something that has not happened in this State over the past decade. Wage inflation of 3% would mean tax forgone of in excess of €4 billion over the four-year period. What is IFAC's position on that given that the council is suggesting there could be an adjustment required of €7 billion in the later part of the Government's term?
