Apologies have been received from Deputy Pearse Doherty and he will be substituted by Deputy Martin Kenny later on.
At today's meeting of the committee we will consider five Supplementary Estimates for Public Services 2019, which were referred to this committee by order of Dáil Éireann on 19 and 20 November last. I refer to Votes 6, 7, 9, 12 and 17.
I welcome the Minister for Finance and his junior Minister here. Perhaps the Minister for Finance might give his opening remarks.
