At the outset I wish to state that I have been a long-term supporter of the children's hospital and of locating it on the St. James's Hospital site. My support has been based on the recommendation of a tri-located model with the capacity to include a maternity hospital and an adult hospital on the site. This will mean children can be born and transferred while women who have babies do not have to be separated from them.
