That is why the UK Government is trying to rewrite it. I think that is why it is trying to say it was never meant to be a right to choose one's nationality, and if it can find success and favour with that argument through the courts, then that will absolve it of any responsibility to implement change or legislate for that provision. That is the reason it is trying to redefine the definition of that provision.
