It is clear that both Governments, as co-sponsors, have equal responsibility in respect of this, and the British Government is failing in its responsibility. In that context, would the witnesses concur that the Irish Government has a responsibility - if not to put pressure on - to create a situation where the British Government has to come up with a responsible situation with regard to Irish citizens? How can that be done, because as long as both states are part of the European Union, we have that overarching body which we can look to as a means of trying to progress things? However, with Brexit approaching, that creates more difficulties, and I would be interested to hear how the witnesses believe that can be done in the context, particularly of Brexit, but more so in the context of the responsibility that both Governments have in regard to the Good Friday Agreement.
