Just to follow up on the question from Deputy Murphy, many of these requirements for how many checks will need to be done and how complicated the system will be will depend on the next stage of negotiations on the free trade agreement. It is very difficult to get a good picture of how the sea border will look until we know how divergent the two entities will be after the free trade agreement or the second stage of the negotiations. I am not sure how much work has gone into how to operationalise the current agreement, because so much of it is still contingent on the outcome of the next phase of negotiations.
