It is long-term planning that we need as it is possibly the 1960s since some of these towns saw the best days. It has to be local authority-led. Community involvement is critical to that, as Mr. Hynes outlined. Once we have the community engaged, we need incentives and they need to be ongoing, not just short-term. There are two areas of focus, the public realm and public buildings, and we can lead the way on that.
