I welcome Ms Rowland, Ms McEvoy and Ms Cunningham and thank them for their opening statement and their work on this issue. At committee meetings we tend to focus on the outstanding issues and the negatives, and it is our job to hold witnesses to account, but many customers have eventually had good outcomes, and that should be acknowledged. The Central Bank's work in that regard has been very important.

We are now ten years on from when Charlie Weston first started writing about this issue. We are almost four years on from when the Central Bank started to investigate tracker mortgages. More than 40,000 customers have been confirmed as affected, with approximately €700 million repaid to them. Are we any closer to finding out exactly what happened or to anyone ever being held accountable for this?
