When we last discussed this matter, I raised the issue of the categories into which the appeals fall. For example, a dispute may relate to a pharmaceutical company writing off research and development expenses. I read an article in The Sunday Business Postor The Sunday Timeslast week or the week before. The article was a bit eye-watering as it outlined that the amount paid is 10% of the amount adjudicated. For example, if there is an adjudication of €100 million, the liability will end up being €10 million. I acknowledge that we do not need to see the individual cases, but we need some sort of profile of what the settlements end up being because while a figure of €3.7 billion is eye watering, it is a different matter if only 10% of that is realised. We need to get a better understanding of that.
