I appreciate that the Deputy has gone, but it is important to note that, even under the provisions of section 181 of the Planning Act where the Minister can make a decision to grant planning permission, it must be fully compliant with both national and EU law. If it involves a large-scale development, an EIA is required. An appropriate assessment may also be required, as well as a flood risk assessment.
