Veterinary Council of Ireland Report: Discussion

Ms Niamh Muldoon:

-----arrangements must be made for the provision of 24-hour care for emergencies. A vet who is away for the weekend might ask a neighbouring practice to be on call for his or her clients during that time. Equally, practices in Leinster might refer matters to UCD Veterinary Hospital to ensure arrangements are in place for the provision of emergency care around the clock. That is linked to the licence and the certificate of suitability.
