At our meeting on 21 May, the Veterinary Council assured the committee that it received specific legal advice prior to announcing in December 2017 the amendments to the code of professional conduct relating to the ownership of veterinary practice. This is not substantiated by the findings of the Grant Thornton report. Will the witnesses clarify this discrepancy?
