I thank the Commissioner for his response. I invite him to visit the Blackrock area when he is next in Dundalk and see what kind of community it is. It is a beautiful community that does not deserve this kind of publicity. The good news is that the person who was stabbed has made a recovery and he and his wife have moved back into their house.

It would be nice if the Garda Commissioner would call in if he is in the area. The next thing I wanted to talk about with the Garda Commissioner is community policing. Can the Commissioner tell me what changes will be made to community policing under the new plan? He talks about more visibility, responsive problem-solving and engaging more with the community and with stakeholders. I keep emphasising that policing is about keeping people safe. What is the difference between community policing under the plan and community policing as it has been carried out in recent years?
