If there is a question of risk to children, there is no mechanism other than those concerns being reported by the people who work within or around a facility, whether parents or others. In a sense, that is the case with any child protection risk. We get approximately 60,000 referrals per annum for our child protection services which are given to us by teachers, gardaí and healthcare workers.
