The whole of section 17 will be subject to review. This section places responsibility on the consumer to notify the insurance company of an accident or an insured event within a reasonable timeframe. The legislation states clearly that the consumer must do so provided the terms of the contract are in compliance with section 17. Section 17 is about unfair and onerous terms.
