It is not to question the cytology or the science behind it but to question what the Minister said, that it is quite different from the hepatitis C issue in so far as the State is not responsible for the outcomes. We have to question that. The dust has not settled on it and the jury is still out. Dr. Scally has carried out some fine research and produced fine reports, but there are still many questions and gaps. No matter how many times the Minister tells me that I am doing what I am doing for ideological reasons, I am being logical about this and there are many who agree with me who are not as ideological as I am in the same way.

I am proud to be ideological when it comes to arguing with the Minister on this issue. I am proud to have a different ideology, which states the State should look after women properly-----
