Two main issues jump out at me. The first is the fear that employees are facing and the second is that the scope section of the Department is not fit for purpose. As the witnesses will be aware, the Minister has spoken of bringing a memo to Cabinet, increasing inspections and so on. Without delaying the proceedings, is what the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection proposing to do sufficient to address these issues or is it just a continuation of the same old point?
