The comment is on the aggregate performance of the economy. As I have already said, the economic fundamentals are strong. I could live to regret that statement but I have included a very strong "however" a couple of paragraphs later when I state that we face new challenges. Our role is to ensure, as far as we can, that the economy itself is stable, that public finances are stable and predictable, and that the revenue can be generated to address the real problems about which the Deputy is talking.
