Public Policy Matters: Discussion
Pat Deering (Carlow-Kilkenny, Fine Gael) | Oireachtas source
From an agricultural perspective, one of the good news stories was the announcement approximately two weeks ago of a compensation package from Europe. Will the Taoiseach remind us of when that funding will be matched? There was a commitment of a further €50 million from the State's coffers. What are the potential allocation dates for the money and how will it be allocated? Will it be allocated on a pro ratabasis in terms of those who have suffered the most in the past year or so or will it be allocated straight across the board?
