Arising from the exchanges up to now, it is clear that we would like the banks to respond to this debate. We might send them the transcript of the meeting and ask for their response. With the support of members present, I invite the witnesses to set out the type of questions they believe we should ask the banks. They have done so in their evidence to the committee but they might formally put together the questions they believe are relevant for the past, present and future in order that we can be clear regarding what we need to ask. With the permission of the committee, we might consider whether we can invite the ODCE and regulatory bodies before the committee to respond to the transcript with which they will be provided, and we can take things from there. Is that agreed? Agreed.

Returning to the opening statement and exchanges, what did Mr. Butler and Mr. Bush think of the banking inquiry?
