I acknowledge that where changes to benefits structures are being put in place, there is the potential of a conflict between the interest of the pensioner or the person coming close to pension age who believes they will be fine and the younger member. Unfortunately there is no Harry Potter solution to that. There is a potential for conflict in trying to protect somebody's benefit that is due to become payable in 30 years and Billy's benefit that might become payable in six years.
