I fully accept the bona fides of the reasons the Deputy is raising these issues. It is a particular challenge in the part of the country where Deputy Chambers comes from. My clear understanding is that there is a legal responsibility on the laboratory that has the test to complete the test. My point to Deputy Chambers and those she represents in Mayo and that part of the country is that I am conscious of the fact that we have three laboratories or organisations that we are using. The Coombe does not seem to have a backlog and is processing within approximately three weeks. From memory, at Quest the period is between seven and nine weeks while there is a significant wait in MedLab.
