Last year there were 12,700 applications for citizenship. The year before, there were 11,770. Our outputs are increasing. Our aim is to process straightforward cases within about six months and we are adhering to those timelines. Of course, there are other cases in which it can taken longer and there can be complications that require us to make inquiries in other jurisdictions, etc.
