I have been careful, but I also have a responsibility to do the best job possible. All of these issues have financial implications for the State. That is why I am using this opportunity to put them on record. I would be grateful if the Garda took an interest in the transcript of today's meeting. I would say the same of the Department of Justice and Equality. That is why I am asking whether the Department will make the necessary inquiries. I do not want to take an adversarial position with the Secretary General on this matter, but prudence demands that these matters be examined. They are reasonable questions.
