Nor to me. Last week we discussed the transfer of mortgages to vulture funds and will discuss it again next week when we deal with the legislation. This may be the final time Professor Lane appears before the committee as Governor. What is his personal view on loan sales to debt charities, as opposed to vulture funds? What does the Central Bank think of not-for-profit charities entering the market to buy loans from the commercial banks in order to restructure them?
