Central Bank of Ireland: Discussion

Professor Philip Lane:

I am not looking at the KBC Bank contract but, in general, the consistency is that the lender can change. Customers know that whoever is the lender is obliged to follow the contract but this does not rule out the fact the lender can change. The original lender can sell the loan to someone else. The entity performing the function of the lender does not have to be the original lender.
